As supervisory expectations continue to evolve, banks are under increasing pressure to demonstrate that their capital and liquidity frameworks are robust, forward-looking, and embedded within decision-making. AFB invites members to hear from Grant Thornton’s regulatory experts for a practical discussion on what makes an ICAAP and ILAAP regulator-ready in today’s supervisory environment.
The session will explore how ICAAPs should evolve in response to the post-Basel 3.1 landscape, examine emerging regulatory expectations for both ICAAPs and ILAAPs, and share leading industry practices. It will also address common implementation challenges, covering stress testing, capital and liquidity planning, governance, and the practical actions firms can take to meet increasing supervisory scrutiny.
Why attend?
As regulators continue to raise expectations for capital adequacy and liquidity risk management, banks must demonstrate their capital adequacy and liquidity risk management processes are robust and well-governed. That means stronger ICAAP and ILAAP processes, credible stress testing, and clear links to wider business and recovery planning. This session will give you practical insight into how to meet these expectations and prepare for continued supervisory scrutiny.
Who should attend?
This session will be of particular interest to those in Risk, Finance and Internal Audit professionals responsible for reviewing ICAAP and ILAAP frameworks.
