In advance of the 3 June 2026 deadline for firms to carry out an internal review of their climate risk framework against the new expectations set out in SS 5/25, members are invited to join a practice workshop, facilitated by BDO.
The workshop will run through two case studies to explore the implementation of controls to manage climate-related risks so that firms can meet the new requirements. Attendees will learn how to undertake a high-level gap analysis, discuss standard methodologies, explore potential pitfalls, and consider how to make changes to their climate risk framework. The session will also outline the expected areas of focus by the PRA (as set out in Policy Statement 5/25) when they undertake supervisory reviews of climate risk gap analysis and action plans.

The session will be hosted by ESG, climate risk, and modelling specialists from BDO.
Sasha Molodtsov, Partner
Sasha has significant experience of delivering ESG engagements to banks, asset managers and insurers. This experience allows Sasha to share industry insights and market best practice with clients. She also leads the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) advisory team in BDO’s Financial Service’s Advisory practice.
Gloria Perez Torres, Associate Director
Gloria is an Associate Director in BDO’s Financial Services Advisory practice. Gloria has experience in providing assurance and regulatory advisory services on a broad range of ESG, climate risk and sustainability topics to financial services clients in the banking, investments and insurance sectors.
Shan Jiang, Manager
Shan specialises in developing and validating climate risk stress testing models for banking retail and wholesale portfolios, including climate risk assessment, scenario generation and data solutions. She also has extensive expertise in credit, which covers model development and validation for IFRS9 models, AIRB models, and stress testing models, ICAAP and Pillar 2 risk calculation.
