AFB Practice Workshop: Non-Financial Misconduct – Meeting Your Regulatory Obligations

The FCA has stated that it is committed to promoting healthy cultures across the firms it regulates.  This interactive practice workshop, in partnership with Eversheds Sutherland, will help attendees navigate and implement the FCA’s rules and guidance on non-financial misconduct.  The session will help attendees understand the FCA’s expectations and how these interact with employment law.  The workshop will also work through areas beyond the specific regulatory requirements.

Why attend?

Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in an interactive session with open questions, group discussions, and sharing of expertise from the team at Eversheds Sutherland.

This workshop will provide:

  • An overview of the FCA’s rules and guidance on non-financial misconduct including, if published, the FCA’s policy statement on non-financial misconduct (publication due early 2025)
  • Case studies that show the challenges of dealing with incidents of non-financial misconduct and the potential consequences for banks and individuals if incidents are not handled correctly
  • An insight into the areas which are of concern to individual employees as well as banks and how areas of conflict can be resolved
  • Industry insights from Eversheds Sutherland on good practice and common challenges/pitfalls

Attendees will be seated in groups for breakout sessions and will share their thoughts with the rest of the group. Each group will be facilitated by a member of the Eversheds Sutherland team.

Who should attend?

Senior members of Legal, Compliance, Risk, and HR teams.
