AFB Seminar: What are the Optimal Booking Models for International Banks operating in the UK

This in-person seminar will be presented by members of the regulatory team at Norton Rose Fulbright. They will explain how non‑UK headquartered banks should structure their booking models when providing services to their clients in the UK market.

Why attend?

During the seminar, Norton Rose will consider entity structures and how they interact with booking models and the management of risk.

In particular, they will:

  • examine how firms typically organise booking models (including booking split models) after looking at entity structures, geographical and resourcing considerations and how financial contracts and products can be grouped together effectively.
  • consider how inherent risk is managed and controlled with the various financial contracts and risk management in relation to trading book and banking book models.
  • outline how international banks approach allocation and activities for key Senior Manager functions, their expected activities and location considerations.
  • discuss UK branch structures and their governance considerations, as well as the impact of UK economic policy and wider international macroeconomic themes and trends.
  • share their understanding of recent feedback from the regulators and the likely future focus areas after the publication of the updated SS5/21 by the PRA.

This session is aimed at those working in Compliance and Risk.
