AFB Practice Roundtable: Managing the Implementation of DORA (for EU Headquartered banks)

AFB, in partnership with Ashurst, is hosting an in-person practice roundtable for EU banks on managing the implementation of DORA.  This session will provide an opportunity to discuss with other EU headquartered banks the challenges they are experiencing in addressing practical considerations.

Why attend?

The DORA regulation has a broad scope and will impact UK branches and subsidiaries of EU headquartered banking groups.  This session will look at some key focus areas for banks – ICT risk management frameworks, continuous monitoring and control of ICT systems and tools, third party risk management (including managing contractual arrangements with ICT third-party service providers used by the UK entity), business continuity plans, and opportunities for synergies and integration with the UK’s operational resilience and outsourcing requirements.

AFB will circulate an agenda and a series of questions to those registered to attend in advance which will be used to aid the discussion.

There will be refreshments and networking from 08:30, before the discussion starts at 09:00.

Note that capacity for this roundtable event will be limited to 30 members, one person per member bank, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Who should attend?

This in-person roundtable is aimed at senior members of IT and Operations functions, as well as Risk, Legal and Compliance functions of a branch or subsidiary of an EU headquartered banking group.

What will members gain for use at their bank?

An update on the progress being made by EU headquartered AFB member banks in their preparation for DORA following the publication of the second batch of technical standards in July 2024; along with a discussion of different approaches taken to common challenges and opportunities.
