JMLSG Publishes New AFB Instigated Guidance

The AFB is pleased to note the publication last week of a revised version of Part II/Sector 15 (Trade Finance) of The Joint Money Laundering Steering Group Limited (JMLSG) Guidance.

The update was instigated in 2019 by an AFB member working group led, by José Arevalo from Commerzbank AG.

The revised version forms some of the most granular risk-based AML/CTF Trade Finance guidance available internationally, drawing upon publications issued by international standard setters, national regulators, and expert experience from trade finance and compliance practitioners across the AFB. The Guidance is ready for use by firms, with HM Treasury’s ministerial approval due in the near future.
