Join an AFB Advisory Committee 2022-2024

The AFB would like to invite applications from our members to join the AFB Advisory Committees. The AFB has eight technical platforms which reflect core banking functions. These platforms are:

Each platform has a corresponding Advisory Committee which is composed of up to 8 senior practitioners which, were possible, represent a diverse cross-section of our membership base. More details on what each of the platforms represent can be found here.

Each Advisory Committee is managed by a Chair and meets 3 times per year (each meeting lasts for one hour).  These Committees play a crucial role in helping to steer the topics for AFB Expert Panels, Seminars, Conferences, Training and Publications.  These topics form the foundation for the AFB Event Programme and underpins the AFB’s commitment to serve foreign banks and deliver best-in-class content to our members, helping member banks navigate the UK regulatory environment and drive business success.

What are we looking for?
We are keen to hear from members who would like to serve on the Advisory Committees between January 2022 and December 2024. Generally, we are looking for people who have been in senior roles for at least two years and  have experience of the current issues impacting foreign banks as well as being able to scan the horizon for future themes. Our platforms cover wide areas, so specialists in one aspect are just as welcome as those responsible for the whole discipline in their firm. This allows us to build a broad range of in-depth knowledge.
